Poetry

Christy is a poet and spoken word artist, having created poetry films, spoken word tracks, and theatre shows with organisations such as the BBC, Sky Arts, Museum of London and the Barbican.

She is a James Berry Poetry Prize 2024 Commended Poet. Christy has performed on Benjamin Zephaniah’s BAFTA award winning TV show ‘Life and Rhymes’ and was chosen by Simon Armitage to perform at his Freedom of the City of London Award.

Christy is an alumn of the Barbican Young Poets and Southbank New Poets collective.

She is currently seeking a publisher for her debut pamphlet.

Christy is available for writing commissions, performances and workshops. She is also available for private commissions or performances (e.g. weddings, film festivals).
